About this position

The Chief of Staff (COS) is a key member of the company’s leadership team and reports directly to the CEO, supporting him with the internal communication, culture, and productivity processes of LifeRaft. The COS will at times act as a proxy for the CEO when he is not in attendance. This is an exciting opportunity for broad exposure to the overall business and executive leadership of the company as it is poised for significant growth.



  • Responsible for strategically supporting the internal communications, culture, and productivity processes of the organization
  • Assist the CEO on managing and executing on priorities and on special projects, as required
  • Enhance productivity through cross functional alignment, support, and feedback with leadership team
  • Organize management meetings, strategic team meetings and ensure proper reporting, documentation, accountabilities, and action items
  • Organization and preparation of communications materials and presentations for the CEO for board meetings, shareholders, fundraising, and AGM
  • Ensure briefings are prepared and made available to CEO in advance of key meetings with stakeholders, outside partners and strategic relationships
  • Implementation and ownership of an OKR (Objectives and Key Results) program
  • Own cross-team communication processes across commercial and technical teams
  • Assess, manage, and promote the increased usage of internal company communication tools and maintain best practice management
  • Oversee implementation and adherence of data & reporting
  • Assist, where required in helping source and implement the best tools
  • Help assess and manage risks or single points of failure in the organization
  • Work collaboratively with HR and team members to create and execute culture initiatives


  • Post-Secondary degree in Business Administration and/or communications
  • 10+ years in a high growth corporate environment
  • Experience/background in marketing, product management, human resources, program management or operations/process-oriented roles will be preferred
  • High emotional intelligence, you are curious with a deep desire to learn
  • High energy people person with strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Strong software skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Docs, and Slack will be key to success in the role
  • Ability to travel is required
